Garden Music
Garden Music
This painting is a depiction of the joy a gardener feels and sounds of nature’s music they hear while strolling through one of their gardens. The following poem by the artist, Susan Lackey, was inspired by this artwork.
I hear music in the garden. I wonder who’s there.
A fairy named “Fern?” A muse with violet hair?
She’s hiding in foliage and has a long neck flute.
Flowers sway, branches too, garden critters, how they scoot.
The song is lively, it makes me wonder
Can those mysterious notes actually call thunder?
