Shipping in the United States

Standard shipping in the US is included in the price of the painting.  Most paintings, below 24x36 inches, are shipped by UPS or FedEx ground.  If you wish to upgrade or expedite delivery, contact me for additional pricing.

Large Artwork, 24x36 inches and up

  • Depending on your location, large paintings on canvas may be removed from the wooden stretcher bars, rolled and shipped in a tube via ground at no extra cost in the US.  Most local frame shops will be able to re-stretch the canvas to its stretcher bars for a minimal fee.  Contact me about pricing before you purchase the painting on-line
  • If you prefer, large paintings on canvas can be shipped with the stretcher bars at your expense.  Contact me for about pricing before you purchase the painting on-line
  • For large paintings on wooden panels or cradled boards, contact me for about pricing before you purchase the painting on-line 

International Shipping: Please contact me directly for estimated shipping charges before you purchase the artwork on-line.  Buyers are also responsible for duties, fees, and import taxes according to your country’s regulations.

Local purchases: In the Charlotte, NC area. You are welcome to come pick up or arrange a local delivery with me to expedite your delivery time. 

Packaging: Artwork is always packed with protective materials to prevent damage.   After your piece is shipped, you will receive a tracking number.

Shipping Times: Ground shipping in the US is usually within 5 days depending on the time of year and the shipper.  Freight shipping in the US will take longer.  International shipping is the most unpredictable.  If your artwork requires framing, additional time will be required before shipping.  For just finished artwork purchases, several days of drying time, will be required after varnishing.  


All sales are final: If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you have 7 days from the date of purchase to contact me to arrange an exchange of equal or greater value.  Photos of the artwork are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors may differ slightly from monitor to monitor.  You will be responsible for return shipping costs.  If the painting is damaged when returned, you will be responsible for any loss of value.

Before you buy: I am more than happy to prepare a photo of my artwork in your space to help decide if it is the right piece for you.  Send me a photo of your space looking directly at the wall and I’ll digitally hang the artwork you want on your wall.  You must include a piece of furniture in your photo and send measurements for furniture in your photo, so that I can size my painting in your space correctly.  This process is not 100% accurate but will give you a general idea of how it will look.  There is a $75 fee for this service to cover the time involved, but well worth it if you are unsure.  If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out, as your satisfaction is important to me.


All artwork is copyrighted and not for resale or reproduction, even if you purchase the original.  Doing so for commercial purposes is illegal in the US.  I welcome pins and photos of my work on your blog or other communications; please credit Susan Lackey with a link to my website.
