Intriguing images are the common threads of Susan Lackey’s artwork. Her style is abstraction and expressionism. What makes her style unique is her ability to suggest a concept, feeling, or mood and leave the story open-ended. The viewer is provided with an opportunity to use their imagination to develop many personal stories on many different levels. Susan is an accomplished poet as well as a painter. Many of her poems are inspired by her paintings and appear on the description pages for those paintings.
The Turq family are very musical as you can see. The painting is of some of the old Turqs that sing as a quartet for special local events.
